Pours a orange-ish color with a small to medium head. The aroma is grapefruit and onion with a bit of caramel. The flavor is more onion and grapefruit but with some good pear fruity notes and a good deal of citrus rind bitterness. Pretty tasty IPA from a brewery I had yet to hear of before this weekend. cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JUL 31, 2010
On tap at Vintage. Little to no head and no lacing. Strong floral, hoppy aroma. Pretty and perfect IPA coloring. Bitter hoppy taste. A very YUM! IPA. triguy84 (235) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Pours a clear dark copper, moderate white head. Lots of hop aroma, probably too much for the style, but wonderful for hop heads. Seems to be a floral , citrus hop aroma, subtle malt aroam too. Medium body, hop bitterness finish. Floral, citrus, piney flavor dominates, with subtle malt sweetness. nicely done, not bad Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 4, 2010
On draught at the Vintage Brewing Company’s brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin during their Grand Opening on May 2, 2010. Pours a clear copper colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and some film top. Spotty lacing on glass side. Aroma is very faint floral hops, possible some nugget and maris otter floral hops with a hint of caramel. Flavor really pumps up the hop bitterness that overpowers most of the caramel and roasted malt flavors. Finish has some light fruit hop character that slowly disappears. An interesting IPA. The aroma character of an English IPA but with a West Coast caliber IPA in flavor and finish. The best to describe this is the best of both ends of the IPA worlds.
