On cask at Vintage Brewery as Java O’Lantern. Decapitated mahogany pour. Aroma of coffee, dark roasted malts, pumpkin and pumpkin spices. Taste is more coffee than pumpkin but the spices are lurking in the background. A bit sweet up front with a sour and acidic finish. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - OCT 26, 2013
On cask at Vintage 10/26, pours a clear dark amber with no head at all, the aroma has some spice mixed in with the coffee, more spice than anything, the flavor has a sweet front end with some of the coffee in the finish, I would have just enjoyed the normal pumpkin beer than this, not horrible though. madvike (3250) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 21, 2013
On cask at the brewpub - Pours dark amber with no head. Nose is coffee, light baking spice, bready malt, and a bit of chocolate. Taste is sweet, with a bit of funkiness between the coffee and the pumpkin. Slick and medium-bodied. Doesn’t quite work, but it was a good try.
