At Brewpub. Spicy from the rye, yeasty, banana clove. Not bad. Serving: Tap Carlisle (786) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2015
Draft. Reddish amber color with thin white head and some lacing. Spiciness complimented by a fruity--specifically cherries--maltiness. Sweet finish. Excellent.

On tap at The Old Fashioned. Hazy brown with a rich malty, caramel aroma. Fruity, spicy, and some sourness. Medium body beer, not sure if it is supposed to be some type of bock or dunkel. Still tasty but maybe a little refinement could really make this a standout.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Unfiltered brown, steady off-white head. Smooth malt tone, not unlike a Dunkelweizen. On the fuller side of medium bodied, quite sessionable, relatively mellow carbonation. Chocolate banana clove. Doesn’t quite have that authentic feel or complexity, still a nice beer. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Draft. Malt and spices. Meh, I’ll pass on the one in the future. It is not really bad, just not really special either.

On tap at Vintage Brewing. Brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of rye, malt, light fruit and nuts. Taste is spicy and fruity with rye, sweet malt, clove, peppery notes and a nutty finish that tastes a bit of minerals. deyholla (12021) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 7, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours an amber red with an off white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma is mainly malty with sweet grains and bread with a bit of light fruit. Flavor has light fruit and citrus with sweet grains backing. MrPickles (438) - Waunakee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Good balance of sweat and malt on this one. I liked this one. triguy84 (235) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 4, 2011
Pours cloudy dark amber and a thin head. A nice Weiss beer aroma. Spiciness tingles your tongue, lightly sweet. Medium body. Very nice ale. bobbypaulson (217) - Fergus Falls, Minnesota, USA - NOV 26, 2011
At the brewery before the penn state Wisconsin game. Go Penn State. Pours a non see through brown color with a little head that leaves quickly. Smell is almost like a fruit and nut trail mix smell. Taste is bitter and roast with a nut finish. Not really a fan or nut brown ales but this one is alright.
