500 ml bottle. Pours clear, pale golden with a small bubbly head - that soon reduces into a thin lacing. Looks pretty watery and probably tastes the same. Aroma has some corn, bread and gasoline - just what I have grown to expect from Viru Õlu since their Frederik days. Obviously this beer is not meant to be drunk for its aroma nor taste. First sip - it tastes pretty much like beer flavoured sour water, leaving a small hint of rubber and biscuit. Finish is quite short, this beer can indeed be drunk as fast as you drink water, made for large gulps. After sauna this is fine, otherwise… not. Rune (12944) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2013
500ml bottle kindly shared by Gaute. Pours a slightly cloudy, late straw coloured body. Film-type layer. Poor lacing. Sweet grain-fruity nose. Dough-like taste with bland fruity hints towards the ending. Cardboard dry. Mealy palate. Has got little to offer (Tromsø, 24.10.2013). djoeye (4615) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2013
Bottle 4.8abv found at Rimi in Pärnu, Estonia.
Little head, bright somewhat unclear golden body.
Scents of sweet malts and faint candies.
Tastes grains, syrup, sweet malts, perspiration.
Sweet mild mouthfeel.
Ends with cardboard, malts, bread, dough, sugar, water, and a sweaty man from a sauna. Ei, tänan.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2015 50cl bottler. Wiru says its good for sauna, but, imho, it is is good for sauna only during summer. It used to have more decent aroma of juniper berries and birch, but not anymore. Since it is close to winter - grab any local porter instead of Saunaõlu for your sauna needs.
Up: latest batch was rather weak.
UP2: can. bbe 12.06.16 Watery and tasteless. Much worse than before. hens (747) - Tallinn, Estonia, ESTONIA - JUN 3, 2013

One of the best PLs in Estonia, this is a heavily malted, near-estery brew with a faint touch of spice and not much bitterness. Tastes more velvety and substantial than its ABV or style would indicate. agent_persik (750) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 2, 2013
Pale clean golden color. Light malty aroma and taste, a bit papery, with slightly bitter hoppy finish. Nothing interesting, but if in sauna and with good company - drinkable and much better than that crap what most people drink in sauna. halapablo (145) - Warszawa, POLAND - DEC 17, 2012
butelka. Z powodu nazwy i dość biednego wyglądu butelki i etykiety myślałem, że to piwo służy do polewania kamieni w saunie i czerpaia procentów z pary hehe. RexTalionis (3775) - FINLAND - OCT 19, 2012
Bottle 50 cl. Pours clear pale copper in color with a frothy white head. Sweet butter, hay and pale malts in aroma. Malts and dry cardboard in taste, but not in a bad way. Sweet buttery finish.

0,5l bottle. Pale yellow color. Small white head, stays. Sweet malty aroma, very faint juniper? Sweet watery malts. Weak hops make ending light bitter.
