Small, yellowish head, leaving some lace, over dark opaque brown beer; Chocolate, nose with some wood and browned, dried leaves, yeast. Bready, yeasty, leafy, dried fruit, woody finish and lots of malt. Well-bodied, with a small sourish CO² linging, lending quite good balance. Very nice beer, with somehow a German streak, despite the top-fermenting process. MANY THANKS TO BOTH MARC AND STEVEN! thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 28, 2009
