BlazerT (1000) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle from local craft beer shop. BB 07/01/2015 Glass: snifter APPEARANCE: dark brown with beige head, that provides some lacing. AROMA: smoked malts, roasted coffee and nuts, rasins, dark fruits. TASTE: at the start dark fruits and burnt sweet flavors, roasted malts, dark chocolate, in the finish bitterness balanced with dry fruit taste, some mineral elements, but not that strong. PALATE: medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. OVERALL: All an all very nice smoked porter with really good roasted malt aromas and taste, smokey character and good integration of high ABV. Everything is nice balanced with some dry fruits and burnt sweet flavors.

Bottle - Smokey, roast malts and chocolate. Jet black with a rich brown head. Dark chocolate and roast malts, but smoke is in the background. Nice, I just wish there was more smoke in the beer.

Zwart bier met stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is sterk rook achtig met caramel invloed. Blijft lang hangen. Mogelijk niet voor iedereen geschikt.

timmwillum (92) - BELGIUM - MAR 22, 2014
Helt uigennemsigtig dunkel brun ale med tyndt brunligt skum. Duften er humle, jern, karamel og en tone kirsebær. Masser af sødme balanceret med bitterhed af humle. Anis, karamel og rigeligt kulsyre. Rigtig fin porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Purchased as Viven Smoked Porter - ROASTY AROMA! Silky smoke is also present in the nose. A thick brown hued pour with a thin, but lasting tan head producing moderate lacing. The taste is smoke and roasted malts, with suggestions of fruit, leather, earth, and finishing with some coffee-like bitterness. Medium body and medium carbonation. This was a very enjoyable robust porter that I hope to drink again.

Black with a large mocha colored head and substantial lacing. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, smoke, coffee, and some kind of funky yeast. On the thin side of medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Roasty, close to a little ashy, and a little weirdly sour tasting.
