andrepintado (3404) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - DEC 21, 2016
33cl bottle. Appearance is dark with medium brown head. Taste is medium. Body is medium. Carbonation is somewhat medium. I think it would win if it was a little bit lower. Aroma is smoke, roasted, chocolate, nutty, fruity, liquorice.

Bottle in a bar in Bruges. Mahogany with a big frothy beige head. Earthy malt aroma. The taste is chocolate with very light spice and a little smoked bacon. Nice.

Bottle@ Friends/chef. Appearance: pours clear black with good beige soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, chocolate, liquorice, light smoke and some cherry fruity notes. palette: strong roasted malty aroma with some yeasty notes, average carbonation, medium body, average to notable sweetness, balanced by a medium to notable bitterness, average to long duration and an oily texture. Overall: nice tasteful porter with some yeast character.

humpah (272) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - DEC 6, 2016
0,33l bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours black colour with not much head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, smoke, coffee, peat. A bit bitter taste, quite roasted and smoky. Well-made porter, no gimmicks.

CanCrusher (1074) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - DEC 4, 2016
Bottle 0,33L. Birthday gift from Gregor. Black color with average big, frothy, long lasting, light brown head. Aroma of smoked malt, charcoal, dark chocolate and tar. Taste starts light bitter with dark chocolate, while finish is light to medium bitter with already mentioned dark chocolate and tar. Maybe it doesn’t sound delicious from my description, but believe me, it is.

BlackHaddock (7346) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 2, 2016
33cl bottle in ’Beers Yesterdays World’ a bar within an antique shop (Brugge) on 27th Nov 2016. Black pour, tanned topping. Malts rule this dry, semi-smoky brew, some hop action in there too. Hints of dark chocolate and ground coffee grains in the flavour. Decent.

HogTownHarry (6925) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 27, 2016
330ml bottle from LCBO. Let’s do this. Inky black pour, a little thin-looking, huge and lasting light brown frothy head. Damn, I love that aroma - deep roast malt, hint of treacle, overlaid by a smoky Islay bitterness - just terrific. Taste is mostly the iodine/tar/smoke/peat, just enough of a hint of dark chocolate and light lactic sourness to make it seem not 100% a Smoked - again, lovely stuff. Thin, slick, acidic - perhaps a tad flat, but the smoke/kerosene linger is lengthy, powerful and welcome. WHY did I not stock up on this when it was here???

SkillsFactory (738) - ITALY - NOV 14, 2016
Best before 02/03/2017, aperta il 14 novembre 2016. Ben carbonata, corpo medio.
