Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - AUG 12, 2010
Bottle at home. Pitch black pour, thick foamy ran head that leaves lacing. Aroma is quite faint and of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is on the other hand quite full, roasted malts, leather, coffee, smoke, peat, slightly sweet and mostly bitter. Nice balance. Slightly creamy texture and above average carbonation. Nice brew.

Abio (1868) - BERMUDA - AUG 10, 2010
Pours out black with a pretty good holding brown head. Earthy chocolate and coffee smell. Some kind of a bit sout-sweet smell. Not bad. Head could hold a bit longer. Some nice coffee inside. Earthy bitter coffee and chocolate at the taste. A bit to watery at the start and a dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle, bought by myself, all round tasting. Coffee, cream, chocolate, vanilla, great lacing, rich roasted malts, toasty finish, good bitterness, coffee grainial finish, just a great traditional porter.

Tim Webb (473) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2010
Now this is impressive. Full on porter-esque, the brewing equivalent of the wall of sound - all taste sensations covered. Intense, heavily caramelled, roasted bitterness alongside some hop bitterness. Strong enough to be serious and light enough to avoid bullying the palate into submission.

Ethereal (2471) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 10, 2010
Bottle from Beermerchants.com, drunk 7th July 2010. Black with a big tan head. Lovely and velvety smooth. Leather dominates the nose ;-) burnt caramel notes too. Quite dry, not too sweet. Hints of red wine. lots of dark chocolatey flavours. Very enjoyable.

Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Black pour with a decent beige head on top. Pleasant smoky/malty aroma. Tastes smokey, coffee, slight sweetness, hint of hops. Quite straightforward but also delicious. An incredibly smooth porter from Belgium, really easy to drink.

Ungstrup (39104) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 22, 2010
Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of smoke. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, medium notes of malt, and lighter notes of chocolate, and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
