Pours a short beige to brown head with toffee and roasted malt and chocolates aromas. Oil black colored body. Long and sweet on the roasted barley in mouth with medium thickness. Good but lacks subtlety compared to pears.

Murky dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has dark fruits, some balsamic vinegar and red wine. Taste starts with dark fruits, brown sugar, some yeast character and slight wood barrel on the finish. Medium to heavy body with quite low carbonation. It’s fruity, malty with a hint of caramel but slightly boozy and flat. Iznogud (3796) - CROATIA - NOV 27, 2016

Clear almost black pour. A b Brewhemia (312) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 6, 2016
Dark nut brown and very little white head. Lots of aroma of dried fruits (figs, raisins, prunes) and over ripe banana and lots of alchol in the aroma as well. The taste is very sweet and as with the aroma it has flavors of figs, raisins and prunes. Low bitterness and lightly sour. It has a faint toastiness to it as well. Lots of taste and actually good balanced in spite of the high level of sweetness. Full bodied with low carbonation. Hopverdju (1260) - BELGIUM - MAY 29, 2016
Donker bruin bier met dunne beige schuimkraag. Geur: iets zurig vineus, zoetig, basterdsuiker. Smaak: zoet, honing en een mondgevoel dat inderdaad aan porto doet denken. Volmondig. Weinig koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet. mariuspoenari (2692) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 24, 2016
Bottle. Brown pour with a medium height tan head. Complex smell, with notes including whiskey, grapes, red wine, cherries, oak barrel. The taste is similarly complex, with the same notes as the aroma, plus some coffee, spices, cocoa and molasses. A bit too sweet and boozy for my taste, but other than that quite a beer. vincentvega72 (757) - Terneuzen, NETHERLANDS - APR 30, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2016 Donker bier met fijne witte schuimkraag. Donker aroma (rozijn, pruimen, dadels, beetje hout). Vol en redelijk zoet van smaak. Port, eik, beetje koffie, chocolade, donker rijp fruit. Warme zachte afdronk. Een topper !!
