Enjoyed on Easter 2017 weekend at the brewery. Pours a very slight hazed light-golden colour with a small head that disappears quickly, leaving not much. Very mild bread malt aromas with light hops, kind of pilsner-like. Same for taste, but a tad more normal in strength. A very light Helles, available year-round and probably their most normal swill. ganache (6137) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 16, 2017
Bottles from the sampler box. Nose is textbook, slightly grainy and bright sunshine with greenish hopcit. Pour ultra-clear straight golden with a sudsy bright white head. Crisp medium body, low bitterness and low, controlled sweetness, but actually seems better attenuated and digestible than that as I drink more. Pure showcase of rich malt but with enough noble hopping to qualify as a Pilsner in some jurisdictions (this is its secret - none of that marshmallowy Munich Helles profile). Clean, just a hint of caramel or specialty malt, with subtle grass and mineral water which last into the aftertaste. Drinkable and repeatable, really hits the spot.
