DULAvibes is the long awaited collaboration beer between Voodoo Brewery of Meadville, PA and Lavery Brewing of Erie, PA brewed especially for Philly Beer Week 2014. Although fairly new to Voodoo’s portfolio, Good Vibes has become an instant favorite with customers far and wide and become their best selling beer at their pub. Likewise, DULACHAN was Lavery’s first canned beer and has been one of their most popular beers ever since. As a result, DULAvibes was born. We took the best parts of both beers and smashed them up into one of the biggest and hoppiest IPAs around. This golden colored west coast style IPA weighs in at 10.3% ABV and was hopped 5 times in the kettle with copious amounts of New Zealand Waimea and Australian Galaxy. Then, we added two massive dry hops. The end result is a big, flavorful and aromatic IPA that drinks like a beer half its size. Look for it around Philadelphia during beer week. We hope you enjoy DULAvibes as much as we did brewing it together.

On tap at TJs while back home. Pours a reddish orange with a slight off white head. Aromas of candied orange peel, bread, alcohol. Not nearly the aroma bomb that Good Vibes is. Taste is sweet with a dryish bitter kick. The palate is quite sticky. Never had the Lavery portion of this one but it seems to not go well with good vibes.
On tap at Perch, Pours clearish bright golden, with white small head. Aromas and flavor are dank cheesy hops, orange sugar, skunk and pine. Medium bodied. Nice but too sweet like all 10 plus percenters but maybe the best of the lot I have tried lately
On tap at the Barrel House for beer week. HOT DAMN! Aroma is freshly zested red grapefruit, slight orange zest, and a little sticky resin. Pours orange/gold with a nice small frothy head (I’m sure it was bigger at the bar). Taste is nice and hoppy with grapefruit zest, dry grass, sticky pine resin, and a juicy citrussy malt finish. Not overly complex but certainly perfectly executed. This is WELL worth finding.
