COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our Imperial Stout that we age in conditioning tanks with oak staves. This adds a classic character of old world aging without the Bourbon tones. This black ale is about 12% ABV and very rich in roasted and chocolate malt tones. Velvety smooth and able to be aged for years. For now this will be a seasonal beer offering.

Sampled from a bottle opened by boltz777 -- thanks, Jason! Pours espresso in color with a trim tan head. Smells predominantly of toasted malt and coffee grounds. Builds on these flavors with added notes of milk cocoa, and vanilla. Really sweet on the palate and quickly dries on the finish. Not bad, but certainly not ambitious.

Rating #2477 2016.05.03 Draught at Bru in Philly Big bubbly black pour with a tan head that erupts from the tulip Aroma is heavy roast malt, caramel, mild vanilla. Taste is cocoa , coffee, toffee sweetness, and a roasty bitterness, medium-heavy alcohol character, but well tempered with the luxurious chocolatey sweetness. Impressive

This stout is AWESOME. Like drinking a chocolate espresso with no bitter. Hardly any burn at all. I would definitely grab one of these again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma - rich roast, chocolate, and some alcohol Appearance - black body. Minimal head, just a sliver of beige head. Rings out quickly. Taste - full roast, licorice, some chocolate, burnt sugar, and alcohol Palate - body is full, the texture is slick, the carbonation is average, the finish is astringent with a rich roast and alcohol.
