500th Imperial Stout rating. Bottle thanks to Charles. Pours a motor oil with a small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong maple, bourbon, chocolate, wood. Syrup mouthfeel, chewy, bourbon, maple, oak, dark chocolate, so impressed by this one. j12601 (11175) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 16, 2015
Bottle at Jamesí 10k tasting. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head around the edges. Big roast over warm sweet vanilla and bourbon. On the thicker side, warm roast, warming alcohol. Big vanilla and wood, sweet and chocolate filled. Cocoa, warm roast into the finish. Nice stuff. hopscotch (11051) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Bottle... This beer rocks!Ö Murky, dark brown pour with a small, creamy, khaki head. The aroma is a deep, complex tapestry of damp soil, burnt malt, dried plum and malt whiskey. Full-bodied and creamy with mild carbonation. The Flavor is sweet and features bold, roasted malts, charcoal, espresso and 85% cacao black chocolate. Lingering sweetness, roastiness and Pappy warmth in the lengthy finish. A sweet, viscous sipper for sure. Big thanks to landhoney for reeling in this world class beer! daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 15, 2014

Sample from a 12oz bottle. #198, bottled 1-18-13. Dark brown, but clear color around the edge. Minimal off-white head. Big vanilla, lightly spicy, brownie-like nose. Some marshmallow. Warmth in the taste. Some very light burn, but not too bad at all. Bigger body, but dry in the finish. Light bite, for the suggested alcohol. Tasty stuff. A little hot, but itís an enjoyable, high quality hotness Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Woodshed 3.0! Big thanks to dak for saving this whole series and sharing with us. Awesome!! Bottle pours with a dark looking body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate, brown sugar sweetened dark roasted malts, marshmallow and smooth bourbon. The taste delivers smooth goodness in the form of lots of residual sugars, chocolate, dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee, smooth sweet bourbon booze and then more chocolate. This is smooth, richly sweet and just yummy. SudsMcDuff (8389) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 24, 2013

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a small foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toasted caramel, chocolate and bread dough. The flavor was sweet and malty chocolate syrup, strong coconut, faint vanilla and anise. Very long sweet chocolate syrup and coconut finish. Full bodied. Fantastic.
