Bottle. Black pour with tan head. Vanilla, chocolate, an array of barrel tones, sweet and smooth. Very nice, best of the three. djd07 (14472) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 3, 2015
500th Imperial Stout rating. Bottle thanks to Charles. Pours a motor oil with a small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong maple, bourbon, chocolate, wood. Syrup mouthfeel, chewy, bourbon, maple, oak, dark chocolate, so impressed by this one. Clownoisseur (482) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - JUL 21, 2015
Bottle thanks to Dan! Pours pitch black, motor oil-esque....small brown bubbles form a brief head before fading a ring around the glass. Aromas are Pappy-barrel forward with brown sugar, black strap molasses, chocolate covered cherry, maple, oak, vanilla and anise. Taste mimics the nose with an amazing harmony of sweets and bitters. Loaded with chocolate, fudge, cherries, caramel, oak, vanilla and anise. No detectable alcohol at 13%. Incredible profile! Reminds me of a smoother TG Assassin for comparison. World class beer that I feel very lucky to have tried! Finishes sticky and sweet but never cloying.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 Rating #700! Bottle #704 from 1-18-13 shared with charule. Pours a near black with no head at all. Less boozy aroma than the others. Some vanilla in the aroma. The taste is sweet and delicious. Silky smooth feel but slightly hot. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 9, 2013

Bottle # 847. Dark brown pour with fleeting light brown head. Fantastic chocolate nose. Delicious with loads of chocolate, carmel, bourbon, and oak notes. Sweet, but not overly so. Outstanding mouthfeel with a good body. Would never know this is 15%. Bravo….. PhillyCraft (7219) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Bottle shared by Mike with Jason, Hayden, and Bill. Thanks for holding this for me brah. Pours deep black, so rich with barrel, pappy, toffee, fig, and so many layers of chocolate, vanilla, rich booze. Light to medium body. Never got hot, awesome b.a. Stout. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2013 Pour is jet black with an extremely dark coffee brown, darker than buffalo trace. Nose does not have the same nuttiness, the whiskey barrel is much smoother and seems more integrated and the whiskey itself is less sweet. The cake batter notes are a little lighter with the sweetness residing in the back. Body is also thick and rich, stronger carbonation, chewy. Taste is huge, lots of barrel and whiskey well integrated up front. Flavor has some chocolate cake batter with loads of dark chocolate. Sweet malt complexity a bit less sweet than buffalo trace. Decent heat in back, less than buffalo trace with a lingering wood and rich chocolate lingering. Seems more well integrated and less sweet. I prefer this.
