From notes. Enjoyed on draft at Hunahpus Day 2017 on March 11. The pour is a thinner medium black with a thin ring of dark brown head that doesnt leave anything as it vanishes. The aroma is a little boozy, as most Voodoo beers tend to be. There is a nice chocolate, a hint of roast, a light oak, and a nice fudge based booziness. Its pretty good, but the spiciness of the rye just comes through a little too heavy. The flavor is much of the same. There is a nice chocolate and fudginess on it. The roast and light spicy rye really come through and balance out on the finish with a nice vanilla addition. The mouth feel is a light and slick with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly boozy chocolate and vanilla finish. This is a treat.

Bottle # 877. Dark brown pour with a light brown head. Barrel bouquet. Dark roasted malts, rye, spice, oak, and barrel notes. Complex, rich and really tasty. There is a weird bitter aftertaste but overall a much better beer from Voodoo than we are accustomed to. Good body and mouthfeel.

12 oz. bottle. Black body with a medium khaki head. Smells of strong rye whiskey, lots of brown sugar, chocolate, and a nutty oak aroma. Taste has sharp rye whiskey. Very sweet. Fudge and dark chocolate. Back end is bitter and earthy and has just a bit of strange aftertaste. Extremely heavy and sweet. Alcohol flavor and burn. Tasty, but its intense.
