3/XII/17 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2017-2141) Thanks to the Belgian, Dutch and German ratebeerians for sharing today's beers!90 (1011) - BELGIUM - JAN 16, 2018
Clear deep amber to purple brown beer, big solid creamy head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: melon peel, malty, soft roast, decent stuff going on here. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of dried fruits, banana, yeast, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: melons, weird finish, bit fruity, some chocolate, yeast. I'm still not a big fan of rum aged beers, I think. Decent as it is, it's not overwhelming, at least not to me.
@ BCBF 2017
Aroma is rubbery with whisky. Taste is sweet with banana esters an clove. Nice carbonation. Raisins and molasses. A tad boozy. mariuspoenari (3238) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2017
Sampled at Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017 - day 2. Dark pour with a tan head. Notes of rum, green apple, chocolate. Very nice smell but the taste feels a bit unfinished. 77ships (11884) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2017
(Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Black, big mocha head. Nose is weird vegetable plastic herbal boozy rum. Taste is basic plastic, wood, herbal, bit vegetable, leaves, barrel, wood, weak, plant, quite a mess,… Not sure as to what happened here but another meh Voodoo brew. Beerhunter111 (24334) - Beerland, GERMANY - DEC 4, 2017

thnx, 90! Pours dark, unclear brown, no lasting white head. Smell is rhum, boozy, oak, bit sweet malty roastyness. Taste is sharp, boozy, grainy, roasted malts, medium body. Doesn't stand against the blast of rhum. Bit weak as a base for a barrel like this. Medium carbo. Not as terrible as expected after seeing the score and all, but not great either. kermis (15408) - Amsterdam-ish, NETHERLANDS - DEC 3, 2017

Draft at Billie's Craft Beer Fest '17. Black with a tan head. Aroma of alcohol, scotch, booze. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
RBSG 2016 shared at the Grand Tasting. Bottle. Dark brown with amber highlights. Spicy and woody, dark caramel, hot rum. Lots of wood. Harsh finish. hayduke (5762) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 15, 2016
Sampled at rbsg. In the tasting glass dark with a hint of foam. Nose is rum and I can not get much else. Alcoholic mouth feel. Flavor show vanilla but the rum is overwhelming. Finish shows a hint of chocolate and vanilla under all that rum . This has the makings of good beer but there was too run left in the barrels it seems to me. cheap (6338) - CHINA - JUL 27, 2016
RBSG 2016, hey, did Art bring this? Just wondering. He must have known How I’d rate it, heheh. Volatile whisky smell makes for a nose alarm. Not really black, mostly really dark brown. Taste is what else? Whisky soaked beer. Why do we age beer in barrels? To change the taste ofthe beer or to augment? What ever, what else can be said, except I’m grateful you guys let me taste it, for a tick.
