16 oz. can from Keith - thanks again! Pours a dark, really hazy coffee brown with a finger of tan head that settles into a ring and a small wispy island of film. Sweet nose, showing chocolate, maple syrup, coffee with cream and sugar, and a little earth. The flavor is straight coffee and cocoa beans ground up and dumped in. More bitterness and roast than sweetness, and a lot different than the nose. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a bitter, thin, somewhat roasty mouthfeel. Didn’t live up to expectations. djd07 (15704) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 25, 2017
Can thanks to Neemo. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong maple, spice, cocoa, roast. Thin body, roast, milk chocolate, maple, light finish, very good. weihenweizen (4169) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - OCT 10, 2016
On tap at Voodoo Homestead. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is nice coffee, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty nice lacing. Taste is coffee and dark malt. Nate (4296) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2016
On tap at Brunzies (7/17/15). Great coffee-chocolate aroma. Sweet with lactose, cafe au lait, and maple syrup. Dark brown-black clear with thin head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays sweet. Tons of flavors; cafe au lait, maple butter, cocoa. Mild nutty flavor in finish with sweet lingering after that’s not cloying.

32 ounce growler. Pours almost black with a nice khaki head. Aroma of malt, coffee, and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and some maple sweetness. Got a bit of vanilla at the finish. Nice. ryanscourt (1546) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2015
Really enjoyable. Cocoa notes are on the nose but sweetness and coffee notes dominate the pallat. jsporrer (1131) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 4, 2015
Pours a deep dark brown with a thin white ring. Pleasant semi sweet aroma. Body is thin for a stout but not watery. Descent taste of roasted malts and cocoa. Only slightly sweet. Not harsh or bitter. Above average but still feels too thin and flavors don’t linger long enough. Overall it was enjoyable. JaBier (8316) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2015
Sample at Voodoo Homestead on 8/1/15. Darkest brown pour with a thick beige head. Aroma of malt, coffee, chocolate and roast. Malty flavor with dark, roasty coffee, bell pepper and chocolate before a bitter, acidic coffee finish. cheap (6132) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 19, 2015
On tap at hollywood. Looks like coffee smells like coffee. Black coffee bitterness. Simply a black bitter coffee beer. Possibly way too much black coffee feel to this. What else can be said? Not really sure if this should be in the sweet stout style category with it’s overwhelming coffee attitude. When I think of sweet stout, I think of mostly pure easy going sweet stout, after all, that’s what the style says.
