Keg @ Mikkeller & Friends. Black pour with a small dark mocha head. Heavy buttery bourbon with the same roasty base black magick in the nose. Sweet, bitter & malty taste. Loads of buttery vanilla bourbon. Coconut milk. Oily fat mouthfeel. Ton of bourbon barrel but I like it a lot. Sometimes more is more. drfabulous (8575) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - SEP 29, 2017

Dark ebony, undetermined clarity, though some deep burgundy edges and a medium-sized, tan head showing moderate retention.
Huge amount of baker’s chocolate meets stiff bourbon and alcohol and the youth of this beer is immediately perceived. I do like, however, that even young, it’s not a fudge-bomb; this one seems to be well-attenuated based on the nose, but it’s pretty aggressively barreled with strong spice, liquor and sharp vanilla filling the nose. In that light, the strong dark chocolate character only serves to exacerbate this intense, alcoholic/boozy character. With warming/breathing, some more light-hearted bourbon, toasted oak and caramel emerge, but it still remains rather sharp and estery/fusel-y on the end.
Monstrous in the mouth, with a slick-to-velvety texture and low but engaging carbonation. Right away bourbon and alcohol strip the beer of any comfort and bitter roast, dark chocolate and dry vanilla all add up to an overwhelmingly dry, acidic, alcoholic intensity climaxing on the finish. Prunes, caramel and some moderate "chewiness" of texture are the highlights here, with great attenuation even while young, but this thing needs both a lot less time in the barrel and a lot more time in the bottle.
