Bottle... Hazy amber pour with orange sparkles and a small, fleeting, fizzy, white head. Smells, tastes and burns like carbonated apple brandy. Full-bodied with zippy carbonation. Hot apple brandy finish with minerals. This is really all about the apple brandy. Unfortunately, I don’t like apple brandy - at all.

Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 28, 2014
Bottle sent to me by agold. Thanks! A: Gold color with a white head. Lacing. N: Grappa, apple brandy, grape husk, caramel and vanilla. Hint of the apples, grain, esters, coriander. T: Sweet, not cloying. M: Tingling carb, oily, on the bigger side of medium. O: If you don’t like Grappa (even though that’s not the barrel used), I can see this one being horrible for you. I like the grape brandy flavor, however, so I got enjoyment out of this one. It’s not a great beer, but it won’t kill your tastebuds, at least.

douglas88 (9573) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 27, 2014
Bottle thanks to Luke. Pours a copper straw color with a small white head. A huge sweet vinous brandy nose. The flavor is big hot sugary brandy, light sweet banana esters, the heat is just overpowering like a much stronger drink. How much brandy is in this? 9.5% seems very low. The vinous sugary flavor is fine, but way over the top. The base just wasn’t enough to keep up. That said, this is a fine drink. Just in small doses.

3.2
blipp (9598) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Big big apple brandy notes, pie spices, and lighter peachy fruity notes. Big and boozy, but enough of the base beer comes through to make it drinkable.

2.2
callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2014
Clear honey colored body, no head, traces of lacing. Apple skin, acetone, booze, honey, florals. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation, semi-sweet, medicinal and boozy, lingering finish.
