RBSG16 Grand Tasting. Pours a fairly clear golden amber with a thin white head. Big wood and sweetness on the nose. Medium bodied, big and fruity, sweet with a bit of grapes and honey behind it. Warming alcohol, but not flat out boozy, just big. Slow wood, honey and fruity malt into the finish.

RBSG 2016 shared at the Grand Tasting. Bottle. Pale hazy yellow, lighter than I would have expected. Aroma is floral (roses?), and the palate displays a Sauternes-like profile. A big overacrbonated, but quite nice.

Bottle at RBSG. Fruity with pear, blackberry pie. Sweet and vapory. Medium golden amber clear with thin head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Sweet and musky with peach pie, pear, and winey port barrel character. Nice sweet finish and musky after.

hazy orange. The aroma is nice. port barrel and a very sweet belgian dubbel. decent carb, thins out quickly. oak and char comes through but port is barely present aside from the sweetness. it’s still a lot of complexity and a little oxidation. overall, would have liked to try this one fresh.

Poured a dark gold to red witha white head. Aroma is oxidation, light wine, and candy sugar. Flavor rounds off a little better, some port and oak. Slightly drinkable.

Bottle at RSBG Grand Tasting 2016. Stronger, almost barley wine in effect. Whisky attributes, so not too sure about the port. Difficult at times. Needs some manners. I prefer the straight away gran met. This wave of barrle things lately to change the way beer tastes is riddy. Big thanks to Art for a chance to taste this brew!

djd07 (16512) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 16, 2016
Bottle at RSBG Grand Tasting. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is booze, wood, yeast. Medium body, citrus, yeast, booze, odd.

Travlr (27103) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 16, 2016
Bottle at RBSG PGH 2016. Hazy golden color. Aroma of lightly vinous straw. Taste is fruity straw. OK.

[6650-20140816] Bottle. Boozy port and barrel aroma. Slightly hazy, pale orange body with a quick foamy white head. Creamy wood barrel booze flavour. Medium body. More boozy flavour than actual octane, interesting to try. (7/3/8/3/15) 3.6
