Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates immediately. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very spicy, chillies, alcohol, roast, lots of chocolate, very nice. Aftertaste: bitter, roasted, bit acidic, alcohol, sweet touch, roasted, dark chocolate, lots of chillies.
Bottle, pours a thick black with medium beige head. Notes are toasted coconut, bourbon, cinnamon and coffee up front with some light maple, vanilla, and spicy buffalo trace in the finish. Medium to fuller bodied. Love the profile but too much warmth to give it a 4 or above. 90 (1011) - BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2017
@ BCBF 2017
Sweet cacao liqueur. Tad cinnamon in aroma. Vanilla, bourbon, sweet syrup. Smooth and oily palate. Slightly warm in throat. Fantastic complex aftertaste. 77ships (11609) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2017
(Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Black. Nose is weirdly boozy, too harsh alcohol, strange almost vegetable profile. Taste is hot vegetable chilli, boozy, too alcoholic, molasses, chocolate, vegetable chilli ruins it, hot no balance, maple. Hot boozy syrup. Quite a mess, disappointing, I do not get the hype for this one or a lesser batch but still? _angst_ (5009) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 23, 2017
Keg @ Mikkeller & Friends. Viscous black pour with a dark mocha head. Heavy chocolate, vanilla & cinnamon in the nose. Plenty of charred oak barrel character. Slightly sweet, bitter, malty & spicy taste. Fat, viscous, round, astringent & slightly spicy hot mouthfeel. Not as sweet as expected which is nice. Very nice heat. Love it!

RBSG16 Grand Tasting. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Spicy cinnamon, peppers, cocoa, chocolate, wood, bourbon, vanilla. Loads of stuff on the nose. Medium bodied, big chocolate and wood, spicy heat but not overbearing, just enhancing with the cinnamon. Slow heat, cinnamon, wood, vanilla.
neongolden (2081) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 8, 2017
(On tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen, May 11/17) A black pour as expected. Notes of fairly heavy cinnamon, chocolate, cocoa powder, lots of vanilla, some light bourbon, touches of wood, quite hefty notes of chili spice with a bit of smoke that dry the beer and leave a reasonable burn, accompanied by fairly strong roast bitterness. The finish is quite dry and a bit watery though, lacking the backing malty heft of a great chili stout. Could have used more maple sweetness for balance. Medium-full bodied despite the watery taste, soft carbonation, light alcohol heat. Good, but not the best chili stout. ramboraffe (2311) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2017
Sample at MBCC2017. Black with tanned head. Roasted malt with coffee. Vanilla and bourbon and some finishing chilli.
