RBSG16 Grand Tasting. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Spicy cinnamon, peppers, cocoa, chocolate, wood, bourbon, vanilla. Loads of stuff on the nose. Medium bodied, big chocolate and wood, spicy heat but not overbearing, just enhancing with the cinnamon. Slow heat, cinnamon, wood, vanilla.

neongolden (1716) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 8, 2017
(On tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen, May 11/17) A black pour as expected. Notes of fairly heavy cinnamon, chocolate, cocoa powder, lots of vanilla, some light bourbon, touches of wood, quite hefty notes of chili spice with a bit of smoke that dry the beer and leave a reasonable burn, accompanied by fairly strong roast bitterness. The finish is quite dry and a bit watery though, lacking the backing malty heft of a great chili stout. Could have used more maple sweetness for balance. Medium-full bodied despite the watery taste, soft carbonation, light alcohol heat. Good, but not the best chili stout.
