Clear dark brown to black beer, no head. Aroma: spicy, alcohol, very boozy, roasted, bourbon notes, sweet impression, some caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots and lots of chocolate, very nice stuff, soft bitter touch, alcohol, lots and lots of bourbon, vanilla. Aftertaste: roast, chocolate, alcohol, sweetish, some crème brûlée, lovely beer!
@ BCBF 2017
Nice roasted aroma with a slightly boozy touch. Taste is well balanced. Cocoa, roasted coffee, a hint of barrel. Candy sugar. Nice balance between roast and sweetness. neongolden (2168) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2018
(On tap @ MBCC 2017 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours black with a dark tan head and lace. Notes are nice and intense, lots of cocoa, earthy coffee, molasses and fudge in the malts, nutty roast, bourbon, soft maple, dark fruit, vanilla, sweet up front but drier and rather bitter on the back end, coffee comes through, heavy roasty cacao, burnt wood, more bourbon, again touches of maple. Full-bodied, creamy, lightly boozy, softly carbonated. Bloody beautiful, big flavours and good balance. alongside Black Tuesday this was a picture of making a big stout that doesn't go overboard. One of the best from one of the most promising newer stout brewers. Pustelnik1 (95) - Nieuwegein, NETHERLANDS - DEC 6, 2017
Aromat jest mega - dużo czekolady deserowej i mlecznej z ciemnymi owocami, dalej burbon, wanilia.
W smaku bardzo podobnie, dodatkowo więcej beczki, drewniana cierpkość, kawa, wiśnie i burbon. Umiarkowanie słodko, alkoholu brak. Ciało jest oleiste.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2017 (Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Black, zero head. Nose is nice heavy boozy walnut vanilla, bourbon hazelnut. Taste is upfront weird plastic, strange boozy, hazelnut, vanilla, bit messy, chocolate, nuts,… Plastic syrup body. Overall good stuff but with messy qualities like the plastic, good but imperfect, still quite a bit better than most Voodoo beers tried. Still I do not get the hype.

thnx to 90! Pours black indeed! very little ring of mocha colored head. Smell is very full, medium-high intensity, thick, roasted malts, tad sweet, cocoa, even seems a bit lactic, almost, trough that cocoa. No real maple here, perhaps a tad of coffee. Smells a bit like rye as well ? bourbon and oak have blended in quite good, can be recognized though. Taste is very full, intense roasty, tad sweet, the taste shows light amounts of maple. Roasty, some coffee. The cocoa shows, but it isn't as sweet as I had expected. the barrel is more in the background, including it's bourbon notes which are recognized, but not overpowering. quite a nice impy, Thick body, but no extremes here. low carbo. koleminer20 (4371) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - OCT 27, 2017
From notes. Enjoyed at a share up at Huffman Lake with some good dudes the weekend of September 30 through October 01. 22 oz bottle. The pour is a dark black color with a thick cap of dark brown head that falls down slowly, leaving a decent bit of lace behind. The aroma is really solid. There is a big bourbon to it right up front with a coffee and chocolate fudge backing it up. There is a vanilla and oak presence with a lovely fudgy alcohol burn. The flavor is a little toned down on the bourbon, but the fudginess and the vanilla and oak just resound throughout. This is awesome. The coffee is big, and there’s a bitterness building of dark chocolate. The mouth feel is heavy medium bodied with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly bitter chocolate and lovely bourbon on the finish. Holy shit this is good. 8 4 9 4 16 Borresteijn (7688) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 8, 2017
