hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle... Mostly clear dirty-orange pour with no lasting head. The aroma is both malty and boozy - caramel, medium-roast malts and Wild Turkey. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is all whiskey. Too much time in the barrel. The base beer is gone. Red hot! I expected more from a brewery that has plenty of experience successfully barrel aging beers. Still, flawless and clean. Just not all that enjoyable for me. Thanks to landhoney for affording me the chance to try this brew!

FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 28, 2016
Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a cloudy caramel color with a small foamy orange-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, honey and bourbon. The flavor was bourbon, vanilla, coconut, booze, caramel and honey. Long finish with growing booziness. Moderately full bodied. Quite tasty.

Bottle thanks to Jacob. Pours a hazy copper with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong bourbon, wood, vanilla. Medium mouth, strong booze, caramel, wood, toffee, good.

Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a reddish color with a small white head. A big fruity nose, oak, maybe some whiskey. The flavor is sharp hot whiskey, very big, berries, caramel, dark toffee, molasses, more heat. The wild turkey comes through, it is big and sort of in your face nasty. Not in a negative way. Pretty good brew. I gotta get to Voodoo someday.
