A: Mahogany body with a firm cappuccino head. Lacing.
N: Cherry, toffee, toasted biscuit, hazelnut, red wine grape, raisin, clove, licorice, woodiness. A bit of smoke.
T: Quite sweet but not cloying.
M: Medium body, no alcohol, spritzy carbonation.
O: Enjoyable. It is pretty soft and the cherry adds the kind of dimension I don’t find in Three Philosophers. Good. jackl (8597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 11, 2015
Bottle @ BVery’s. Deep amber pour with a small head. Rich nose. Plenty of fruit leather. Rasin, trail mix, and some tart cherry skin. Mildly acidic. Flavor is similarly rich. Hot, sweet, with just a bit of tart fruit on the finish. Some tobacco and coffee, caramelized banana. Full and a bit oily. smith4498 (3723) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Bottle from a trade with mdg164. Pours dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of dark fruits and sour cherries. Fig, raisin, and plum flavors with some caramel and a hint of tart cherries. Full body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Marc. Art (3220) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 28, 2015
Bottle shared by Dan. Pours a cloudy medium dark brown with an off white head. Aromas of roasted nuts. Strange, I know. A hint of cherry in there makes it remind me of a cherry tootsie pop. Taste is nutty and sweet. Booze is essentially hidden and the sweetness makes this one drinkable compared to the regular Quadfather. Really impressed. This poured a medium brown with a small beige head. Aroma was of dark fruits, sour cherries, light booze, and yeasty spice character. Sour cherries balance out the big sweetness the regular version had. Overall a pretty nice big beer.

Bottle shared by Ryan, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of dark fruits and dark grains with a bit of earthiness underlying. Flavor has earthy dark fruit with some raisin, toffee and a bit of Belgian yeast. Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a cloudy red orange color with a medium white head. A big sweet nose, fruity, big malty caramel. Toasted malts, toffee, sugary caramel, sweet tropical fruit. Comes in a bit hot. Very good. Solid.
