MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2014
Orange hazy, white head. Smell of pine, spices, basil and herbs. Moderate sweet, quite clean, some herby elements. Moderate to medium bitter, pine and resins. Nice american pale ale
My Bottom Line:Frode (383) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2014
This refined IPA offers peach skins and various tropical fruit atop silky honeyed malts.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the shiny pale amber.
-Hop character is more aromatic and flavorful than it is bitter.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-The resinous hop bitterness creates pleasing balance.
-This may not be as intense as most West Coast-style IPAs, but it is beautifully rendered and perhaps more drinkable than most. Which is what matters, right?
Growler from the brewery.
