Fruity, currant, papaya. Slight bitterness, good balancing sweetness, nice mellow APA. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 26, 2015
On tap at UNA Bryggeri, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose is quite hoppy for a pale ale, with stone fruits and biscuity malt to back. Flavour follows accordingly, with tropical fruits, resinous hops and biscuity malt. Well-balanced and quite a bit more interesting than most pales. Great stuff. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 31, 2013
On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A lightly unclear one, golden in color and topped by a decent, off-white head. Some lacings. Citrus, some peaches and in general tropical fruits in the aroma. Not much maltyness going on. The flavor has a faint sweetness and a nice bitterness, as well as the same fruityness found in the aroma. Dryins, medium body. Lasting finish with fruityness and bitterness. Tasteful, quenching and easy drinkable.131029 gunnfryd (14825) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2013

Small glass, draught at Bar Bowling Førtito in Sarpsborg. Cloudy amber coloured body. Dissipating beige head. Aroma is fruity and honey sweet. Fresh flavours of tropical fruits and smooth honeyed sweetness followed by a twist of dried fruity bitterness towards the ending. Soft in the mouth. Fine bodied. Well made with splendid drinkability (Tour de Østfold, RBNG 15.02.2014).

Draught @ Haand Ølfestival 2014MartinT (9852) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 9, 2014
Pours slightly hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, grape, orange and cat piss. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with a long orange and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
My Bottom Line:gyllenbock (9100) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 7, 2014
This refined IPA offers peach skins and various tropical fruit atop silky honeyed malts.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the shiny pale amber.
-Hop character is more aromatic and flavorful than it is bitter.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-The resinous hop bitterness creates pleasing balance.
-This may not be as intense as most West Coast-style IPAs, but it is beautifully rendered and perhaps more drinkable than most. Which is what matters, right?
Growler from the brewery.
Sample Bergen Ølfestival 2014. (my first one from this brewery)
A bit hazy amber with a medium head. Easy to drink with hops, grapefruit, hay and some mango. Also with notes of malt. The finish was medium bitter.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Amazing fruity hop aroma, like concentrated hop juice, tropical fruits with pine needles, strong and very inviting. Taste is modereate bitter, more balanced and easier drinkable than suggested by the aroma, lots of fresh fruits, smooth with that moreish taste. Looking forward to the next brews from Voss.

Tap, Henrik’s, Bergen, 27/10/14. Heaped, slightly burnished honey amber. Bright resinous aroma awash with sticky hop cone, corking fresh Rubicon guava and lychee, mint and strawberry pushing a 9. Beautiful crisp stewed hop flavour with grapefruit, honey, peach, dragon fruit and curry leaf-like impressions reminiscent of old school Punk. Honeycomb freshness begging a session. The best Norwegian beer I’ve tasted.
