COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
12% light beer of Pilsner type with an average 5,0% vol. proof that is being paid increased attention in respect to technology and raw materials selection during the production process. The maturing process in lager cellars lasts 60 days at low temperatures. This is a medium-bodied bier with medium to strong crisp flavour, soft bitterness and light amber colour. The bier contains the highest amount of hops. The bitter flavour of hops supports appetite. We advice serving at temperatures 8-10°C.

This was...surprisingly o.k. I had low expectations, but I found it rather rich and interesting. Deep color, like a hint of carrot juice colored a golden beer. Good aroma, with obvious caramel notes. Sweetness jumps out from the tasting, but interesting hops (though not the driving force). Good for what it is. Bottle.

12 oz brown bottle, no date.

It pours a nice deep darker gold that looks unfiltered. The head is big, fluffy, and white and forms a dome around the rim of the glass, slowly receding with some intricate lacing. Nearly a spot-on appearance.

Smell is grainy with a deep sugary malt scent. The hops linger in the background with a slight spiciness. It’s not skunky, the proper way to enjoy a pilsener.

The taste follows the nose, nice robust grains with a kiss of hops that lend a balancing bitterness. The mouthfeel is richer than what you would find in most Czech pilseners.

This one seems true to style, not watered down, I like it.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. Hazy pale orange color with a light white head. Aroma is bit bready, and tends toward mild citrus rather than grass. Near medium body with sharp, light carbonation. Flavor is slightly bready, and the hops are almost like zest. Could be a touch of diacetyl. Finishes astringent, and very nicely hoppy. Not a typical BoPils, but a really tasty lager.

12oz bottle-pours a white ring for a head and hazy gold color. Aroma is sweet/husky light malt-caramel, hint of hops. Has Helles features. Taste is initially sweet/husky light malt-caramel, bready, then sharp spice hops with some bitterness comes in mid-palate thru after taste. Thanks to decaturstevo for picking this out.

Aroma is slightly hoppy with a balance of malt. Pours a golden color. The flavor is hoppy and I find a strong caramel, sweet note. Not too bad.

(35.5cl bottle) Clear, golden colour with a small but persistent foamy white head. Slightly sweet and slightly buttery malty aroma with a delicate note of Saaz-hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Well-rounded malty taste with herbal and woody hoppy notes; moderately dry malty finish with an aromatic hoppy tale. Quaffable Bohemian Pils (12.08.08).

Bottle: Golden with a medium-sized white head, lacing, but quickly diminishing; grainy, a bit metallic, a bit hoppy nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, malty base detectable; sweet pale malt and a tinge of hops in the bitter-sweet finish. Friendly Bohemian Pilsener................

Bottled as Vyskovske Pivo. Nice golden color with a puffy white head that laces slightly but otherwise disappears to a film. Nice clean hoppy bite in the nose and the malts are simple but strong and clean. Just a bit of skunk, thankfully this is brown bottled unlike the green bottled Czechvar. Nice flavor and a crisp bite make this an easy drinking clean finishing pilsener.
