This is a great beer. Pours dark and crystal clear with a beautiful frothy head. An extremely smooth malty start finishes even smoother with a sutle nutty, smoke flavor. I could drink a lot of these!
Had on a sampler in Providence. Decent body. Low bitterness. Moderate roast. MWMBeerguy (203) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Sort of a cardboard aroma. Light brown, like a dark American Brian ale. Thin tan head with medium sized bubbles. Smooth taste with chocolate but a little chalky.

Deep copper, tall and very persistent head. Sharp nose.
Light body, flat and watery mouthfeel and finish, low alcohol heat and carbonation, moderate flavor intensity, long palate
Bitter, dry, sourish.
Cannot see a reason to buy it again.

Bottle from Liquors 44. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves some solid lacing in the glass. Decent malt notes on the nose. Has a hint of chocolate on the tongue. Finishes clean. Eh! Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Aroma is nutty coffee, like brown ale. Near black pour, thin film head. Unexpected bitter, smokey flavor, slight lactic sweet finish. Medium creamy body. This is a great basic porter in my opinion.

Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Sweet chocolate, earthy coffee aroma. Dark brown with a moderate tan head. Earthy roasty malt, light coffee, and some chalky cocoa flavor with a bitter roasty finish. Body on the light side of medium, average carbonation. luttonm (6549) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 16, 2013
From tasting at the Brewery in Westminster. Medium body, nice hop, bitter bite. Some coffee roast. A bit lactic but ok sailracer (486) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Tap. Pours a blackish brown that seems a little thin for a porter. Lots of chocolate roasted malt flavor up front that mellows as you drink it. Light on the carbonation and easy to drink. Decent for a porter, but not as robust I prefer. matalec1984 (115) - Massachusetts, USA - SEP 12, 2012
Had this casked. Slightly bitter aroma with strong roasted notes. flavor was fantastic, toasty but with plenty of hop bitterness. Wonderful balance. Beer was a little thin and the head left something to be desired look more like soda bubbles than a nice, tight head
