moderate malty flavor of dark bread, cereal, roasted nuts, molasses. Smooth with a rough bitter finish. Heavy hop flavor, of pine, grapefruit, resin, and lime. moderate yeast flavors of soap and dough. Other flavors include raisin, pear, cherry, red wine, oak, soy, pepper, alcohol, and solvent. A fizzy, off white excellent head is mostly lasting, with a sparkling body of amber, orange and red. lightly sweet, but heavily acidic and bitter. very sour, with a long duration. medium, dry, creamy fizzy mouthfeel. Astringent and alcoholic. What a wonderful beer. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - APR 13, 2008
This is a solid IPA, although it won’t overpower you with hops. A good look, dark orange color, consistant head, with a lot of lace on the glass. I enjoyed the flavor but I kept waiting for that extra little kick. Still, hoppy and sweet with some mild grapefruit notes in there. Maybe a little thin on the mouthfeel for an IPA, but it’s by no means bad. Definitely a good all around IPA and I would certainly get it again. badbeer (434) - Iowa, USA - MAR 23, 2008
Dark yellow with a white head and some retention and lacing. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some citrus and a touch of caramel and biscuit. Taste is much of the same, but the hoppyness comes out stronger than in the nose. Nice hoppy finish to this one. Medium carbonation and body. Good beer, could probably drink a fair amount of this. Thanks to hopdog for the sample. illinismitty (2377) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Bottle from Super Saver in Pennington, NJ. Pours orange amber with a white head. Nice aroma of citrusy and floral hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Malt profile is a tad thin, but with a british toffee like character. The juicy bitterness is nice, but not aggressive with hints of tangerine and grapefruit. Finish is semi dry with some very slight acidity. This was surprisingly good, and refreshing for an IPA. artistsatwork (25) - USA - FEB 20, 2008
I am far from being a hophead but this is one citrus based IPA that I can sink my beer tooth into.
Gifted to me from friends in Natick, MA.

I was suprised at this one. I had had their blueberry ale and this one was sitting in my cellar. I was reluctant to try it since I was so disappointed in the blueberry. Well, I figured I might as well get it out of the way and rate it. So I cracked it open. 12 unce bottle from Glenville beverage. Pours a nice light golden color. Nice head and lacing. Smells citrusy like grapefruit. Nice little bite, bitter like it should be but not too bad. Light body, light mouthfeel. I liked it but I bet Ill like it more in the summer as a thirst quencher. Pretty decently balanced IPA b/w the hops and malt. Has a slight citrus taste. Has a decent sized head on the pour and has an amber/honey color. Pretty good brew for Red Sox fans. Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2007
A hazed amber ale with a thick creamy dark off white head. Light hops and caramel aroma, light orange marmelade. In mouth, a decent grapefruit hop attack followed by biscuitty malt, a bit thin, but honest IPA. Bought this at CJs, Potsdam, 1.59$. estoppel (1028) - Buffalo, New York, USA - OCT 20, 2007
Bottle. Amber body, medium white head, weak nose with some citric hops and caramel. Not very hoppy; caramel body with some finishing bitterness but only a hint of light citrus. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - SEP 29, 2007
12 oz bottle. Clear light amber in color. Aroma is citrus hops, pretty fresh and lightly resinous. Taste is a moderate amount of citrus and floral hops, with some sweet pale malts and light caramel. Bittering is mild for the style. a pretty decent easy drinking IPA.
