22oz, pours a hazy. rusty orange with an orangish head that leaves a layer on the surface the entire time. aroma is sweet and citrusy hops with a hint of cheesiness. the taste has a ton or citrus, namely navel orange and tangerine, with some very nice bready, matly nots to balance it. goes down easy, at 7.4%abv its like a session iipa!

Bomber. Pours a hazy golden with a white head and a good deal of sediment at the end of the bottle. Hands down the best thing ever tasted from Wachusett. Similar to a west coast style IPA which I am a huge fan of.

Pours a cloudy orange with an "almost" fluffy white head. Cascade, Amarillo, and Simcoe shine through vividly in the aroma, almost to the point where you can pick apart which hop contributed which specific aroma aroma to the beer. I am not particularly a fan of Wachusett’s beer particularly their regular IPA, however this beer is phenomenal

22oz Bottle, purchased at Wakefield Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Spicy, dank, earthy aroma. It has a palpable scent of wet Pacific Northwestern forest - dewy. Pours a murky golden-orange with a super-lacy off-white head. Flavor is pungent and juicy. Lemon peel, candied ginger, lime syrup, and gin. It’s lacking a sharp edge though. I think I want a touch more booze and a good bit more hop bitterness. The sugar/hop flavor balance are there, but it needs to be tightened up a little bit. Crispness, that’s it. It’s got just a bit of soppiness to it. Finishes creamy and warm. All the flavors are enjoyable and it’s very clean, but it’s a little loose.

Pours a cloudy golden color. Aroma is of hops, citrus, and grapefruit. Taste is medium bodied. Flavor includes grapefruit, lactose, and hops. Finishes off hoppy. Not too bad of an Imperial.

Big thanks to axeman9182 for this one, poured into a tulip. Pours a bright hazy orange with a big creamy white head that recedes quickly to a soapy cap with spotty lacing along the sides. Lots of citrus in the nose especially oranges and pineapples, very much on the sweeter side of things. In addition, there are some light floral notes and some caramel malts. The flavor is not quite as impressive as the aroma with some pithy citrus bitterness. There is some sweet caramel and toasted bready before the hops come back and leave a moderate bitterness in the finish - some citrus and some grassy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a light carbonation which lends a creamy character to the feel. It is not overly bitter which adds to the drinkability. Overall, a nice hop-forward DIPA that’s sweeter than many in the style and very drinkable. Great stuff.

Staff recommendation at the Publick House. Tap. Clear orange, thick creamy white head, fair lacing. Aroma of orange peel, grass, flowers. Taste has all kinds of citrus, slight bitterness. Full body. Decent beer.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. White head recedes to hug rim. Orange pith and resin aromas. Pineapple and grapefruit upfront turning biscuity in the middle and resinous in the lasting bitter finish.

On tap at Wachusett Brewery. Nice aroma of fruity and citrusy hops with a bit of malt to balance it out. Pours a dark amber with almost no head. Wonderful hoppy flavor that has a nice balance and a somewhat dry finish. This is one of the most drinkable double IPAs I’ve had, but I guess 7.4% is not extremely strong for the style. I really liked this beer and would definitely recommend trying it if you have a chance.

snifter, I think, at the Publick house in Brookline. Very good aroma, nice mix of citrus and fleshy fruits, grapefruit, orange, peach, apricot, little sweet caramel malt. Brownish orange color, Ok head, spotty lace. Bitter sweet flavor, like aroma, citrus packs a little more punch. Medium body, oily creamy smooth mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Very nice, really good aroma, just kept giving off a wonderful scent, Solid offering for Wachusett.
