A dark-brown (essentially black) beer that affirms my love for milk stouts.
A somewhat sudsy khaki-colored head leaves nice lacing.
Aroma definitely gives off lactose, and cocoa. Smells a bit mroe desserty than other milk stouts I’ve had.
Taste follows the aroma. Creamy chocolate cake batter comes to mind, without too heavy of a mouthfeel. It’s not super sweet, but the body of a substantial chocolcate dessert comes to mind. There’s a touch of dark fruit in there...date? raisin?
Super smooth and enjoyable with great drinkability for the style.

Aroma - Mocha, Coffee - light, pleasant smell.
Appearance - Poured in a pint glass. Chcocolate color, with hints of light coming through the dark brown beer. Head is 1/2 of fizzle which dwindles and clings to the glass. Not the thick, creamy head that is desirable.
Taste - Hints of chcocolate, coffee, and mocha, that are not intense, but pleasing, and sweet, but not too much.
Palate - Smooth, and leaves you craving more.
Overall - Best Wachusett brew to date. They have outdone themselves. I wish it was move widely available. This is my favorite brew they have made so far. MaBeer1972 (2142) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 10, 2011
An opaque black beer with a big frothy milkshake head. Light sweet roasty aromas. Flavor is smooth. Sweet roasty chocolate and coffee notes. Very tasty and easy drinking. Well made. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 21, 2013
A: Dark Opaque Hue, Passes No Light, Off White Head, Great Lacing
S: Cocoa, Lactose Sugars, Light Coffee
T: Lactose, Milk Chocolate, Mild Coffee
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium to Full Bodied, Semi Sweet
Overall, an average milk stout with too much focus on the chocolate/coffee aspect but decent and drinkable. SuIIy (1983) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - AUG 28, 2010
Sampled at store near 9/27 in natick. Pour is dark brown with a small off white head. Nose is chocolatey and lactose sweet notes. Palate is full with a nice carbonation tickle that seems fluffy. Flavor is lactose sweetness with chocolate and some malted milk notes and dry roast notes. Very good.

Pours black with a garnet pinpoint. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Roasted chocolate aromas. Creamy with smoky chocolate covered nuts from front to back into a lasting finish. annunz123 (963) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 2, 2011
Very inviting malted milk ball aroma (assuming you like malted milk balls as much as I do). Taste is predictably sweet, but balanced by carbonation and a touch of bitterness. I’ve thought other beers from this brewery were very ordinary, but this is a pleasant surprise. nctomatoman (13) - Raleigh, NC, North Carolina, USA - SEP 20, 2011
Defines a "just plain nice, drinkable" stout - not Stone or BORIS the Crusher territory, but also easier to drink than those complex monsters. A bit yeasty and some coffee on the nose, rich, deep brown color, decent head that reduces quickly....smooth, with touch of bitterness on the palate, moderately full bodied with a distinct hint of bitter chocolate and some background coffee. Sipped before dinner from a 22 oz bottle purchased in Williamstown MA this summer. thicksuds (449) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 31, 2010
Very carbonated release for a stout, rich, thick, foamy head, full flavored, can taste the malt, coffee, and some vanilla as well, A pretty solid stout, price is right, Wachusett fits the bill as a real up and coming brewer putting out solid beer. I’d get this again. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Aroma is milky, creamy, and light chocolatey. Pours dark crimson amber brown with a light tan head. The flavors of creamy milky malts from the lactose are nice and not heavy on the body. Body is lighter, easy to handle on the palate.
