Dark, not quite black pour... Nose strong of caramel and alcohol. Taste is of the same. Too much of an alcohol taste for my liking, but not terrible.

Of the two winter beers I sampled tonight, this was far better than the other (Harpoon). Pours a nice amber color with a thick head and quite a bit of lacing. Very flavorful malty taste with lots of brown sugar notes in there. Relatively warming and quite smooth. There’s also some spice, with a slightly bitter finish. Nice.

On tap @ Coles . Aroma of caramel, malt toffee and pit-fruit, ruby, wearing a small toffee head, some fine lace. Taste has a smoky malt, spices, red plum, apples, and humbugs. Medium to full bodied, nicely spiced, tongue tingling, warming, slightly sweet. Quite nice for the winter months. Thanks for Your help rudolph!

Draft at Hop Devil. Amber/brown with a sturdy head. Aroma is a ton of chocolate and cherry. The flavor is more cherry with a stinging hoppiness. Theres a very dry quality to it. Not too bad.

12 ounce bottle from Glenville beverage. The first thing that struck me about this one was the nutty aroma, very nice. Little head and little lace. Stored and served at 50 degrees. Malty, medium body, nice mouthfeel, ok balance.

12 oz bottle courtesy of cousin, thanks Marshall!! Pours a ruby hued amber colour with a small tan head that disapates quickly to a slight ring on the glass. Nose of sweet malts, toasted malts, red fruits are also lingering in the background, cherry being the most distinguishable. Initial taste is loaded with toasted malts and sweet malts trying to make there way in. Mid palate of mild red fruits. Finishing with a touch bitter hops and mild earthiness & spices. Palate duration is short. Medium body. Not bad but nothing outstanding either.
