Reminded me of a lighter version of Sam Adams Old Fezziwig... only less flavorful. Pours a light brown with a fairly thin head. Mild hoppy flavor with hints of spices - ginger and an almost nutmeg-like taste? Subtle in the spices. Balanced and tasty. Good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear med amber with a think head and nice lace. Aroma is roasted nuts, toasty malts, ligth plastic and rubber off aroma and burning electrical cords with some pine hints. Flavor is roast a bit of burning, ligth sweetness, caramel and honey hints, matchstick and some sulfur off flavors. Harsh solventy mouthfeel. Something went wrong here.

On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Reddish brown pour. Some caramel, smoke, alcohol. Medium body. Decent but Ive had better winter warmers

Bottle. Poured a nice deep red body with nice head. Aroma is chocolate, spices, smoke. Flavor has all the above that are mentioned plus a sweet side to it. Smooth. Possibly their best.

Nov. 10, 2007; 12 oz. bottle. Dark-brown appearance; aroma & flavor of roasty, burnt caramel, spice & alcohol. Interesting recipe, but this a winter warmer I’m having a bit of difficulty warming up to.

A deep brown ale with a thick off white head. A light chocolate and caramel aroma. In mouth, a musty sweet caramel malt, with notes of bitter chocolate, light spiced notes. Medium bodied. Nice. 1.59$ at CJs Potsdam, 2007.

Bottle, December 2005 (from notes). Pours a dark brown with a frothy head. Aroma is heavy malt with a bit of chocolate characteristics. Flavor is a muddled mess of spices, chocolate, and malt, with a little hop as well. I did not like this at all.

Sammy (13250) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 7, 2007
SIgnificant slow dissipitating head, which distributes alcohol and malt. Cocoa colour, with chocolate malt, some decent tastiness and medium mouthfeel. Appropriate carbonation. Carmel, a tad smokiness.

Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 21, 2007
Robe rouge très claire surmontée d’une mousse beige épaisse en dentelle. Arômes âcres. Saveurs âcres de mangue.

Cryotek (206) - Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA - MAY 8, 2007
Dark reddish copper color. Nice fruity smell with some spices mixed in. I read another review that said cinnamon, that and maybe something else slightly adds to the smell and taste. I enjoyed this is much as any other Winter brew.Slilght carbination makes this easy to drink and does not taste artifitial in my opinion as others have said. Thumbs up to this local brew. (local for me)
