12 oz bottle. Pours with a small head. Aroma is mainly made up of beavy british biscuit with a slight background of spices (cinamon and nutmeg). Taste has some malt sweetess with slight spices, very low hopped, low bitterness. Average mouthfeel and a sold medium body. A very nice beer from these brewers.

Draft at Hop Devil. Amber/brown with a sturdy head. Aroma is a ton of chocolate and cherry. The flavor is more cherry with a stinging hoppiness. Theres a very dry quality to it. Not too bad.

On tap @ Coles . Aroma of caramel, malt toffee and pit-fruit, ruby, wearing a small toffee head, some fine lace. Taste has a smoky malt, spices, red plum, apples, and humbugs. Medium to full bodied, nicely spiced, tongue tingling, warming, slightly sweet. Quite nice for the winter months. Thanks for Your help rudolph!

malrubius (2897) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - JAN 11, 2015
Bottle. Dark clear copper with lasting head and lace. Mild caramel and fruit and slightly metallic aroma, Sweet caramel fruity with medium spicy bitterness. Not really picking up much smoke. Will let it warm up a little... More roasty sweetness. Would be excellent with significant smoke. Medium body. Fairly aggressive carbo. Good.

Pours a two finger cream head that fades to a thin layer leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose. Didn’t realize this was a Scottish Ale more like a brown. Mellow sweetness, some spiciness. Very drinkable. $1.42 for a 12oz bottle from Valley Liquors Methuen, MA. Best by Mar 2007.
