My even the fantastic views of Antigua could save this beer. Who let the skunk out? Very malty, no hop, skunky flavor. Started to be tolerable after 5 or 6 glasses. Draft a little better than the bottles

Appearance: Pours a pale, pale yellow body that is extremely clear (like looking through glass) and a thick eggshell white head that seems to stick a little to the glass. Smell: Very strong aroma of corn & adjunct with a slight citrus edge. Mostly grainy, not too offensive actually. Taste: Grainy with a bit of citrus zest and a subdued skunkiness that is not readily apparent. Overall average but boring a little bit. Mouthfeel: Relatively high carbonation with a rather thin & watery body

Low expectations given the brewery set-up (water from its own de-salination plant!), but some nice tropical tinges. Mild smell of BBQ fish; a slight caramelised burnt pineapple atop a standard lagers corn fritter taste; a brown sugar end. Thanks to the wife for bringing back from Antigua!

Pours an extraordinarily light straw yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. Faint corn and even fainter green grape on the nose. Moderately full and crisp. Flavored approximate the nose, with corn expressing a little more prominently.

Bottle thanks to John shared during breakfast. Pours a cloudy gold with small off white head. The aroma is corn malt and skunk, similar flavor with metallic finish.

On tap on Antigua. Very pale yellow colour, little obvious carbonation. This is a very weak beer, little or no hop character, corny adjuncty wateery malts, a definite tang of Antiguas grim tasting water. Really poor.

Pours a one-finger pure white head that fades quickly leaving traces of lace. Crystal clear light straw color. Good carbonation and very light bodied. Sweet almost skunky nose and flavor is sweet corn with hops in the background. Bottled Aug 18, 2014, Gift, 250ml green bottle.

7th April 2014 and we land on Antigua, after a few hours on the beach and drinking this beers big brother we returned to St Johns: the wife decides she wants here nails done, so I neck a green 250ml bottle of this while I wait outside in the sun. We then walk towards the port area and pop into Big Banana a bar for tourists close too the cruise jetty. It is here that I get another bottle and a glass to drink it out of. I liked it more than the 5.6% Gold that comes in cans, but only just. Not a lot to this typical Caribbean lager/pilsner, it fact it could have been brewed anywhere in the world to be honest. Golden, a little paler than the stronger version but with the same white head. Odourless and nearly tasteless it refreshes the parts that need refreshing without actually giving any flavour or taste. Nice friendly island though, apart from the taxi/tour operators not taking a polite no thank you as they peddle their trade.
