I took this bottle from the beer of the world in Zurich. I drank it yesterday after the Galicienne, hot night, good to have a drink before to sleep. This one is ok, nothing more, I prefer the lager version. This one is malty, a bit sour, some nuts, little roasted malt, not so sweet, some hop, a bit watery, a bit soapy. The body is brown, dark and troubled, white and brown foam, normal carbonation, beautiful Züri See, beautiful Wädenswil, taking the boat to dream. 17Beer (343) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 5, 2014

Clear brown color. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, nutty, light liquorice and dusty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. magdalar (516) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 8, 2012
Pours a dark brown with an offwhite head.
Smells of chestnut, yeast, and roasted malt, with a hint of caramel.
Tastes of a tart-like sweetness. Unpleasant.

33 cL swing top bottle, bought in a supermarket. Aroma: Roast (toasty and nutty character), notes of caramel and a hint of hop aroma. Appearance: Clear, nice CO2 bubbles, copper brown color with a hint red, 0.5 finger of creamy head. Taste: Caramel, light bitterness, dry character. Malt character present. Palate: Medium body, lively carbonation, short bitter aftertaste. Overall: Nice Dunkles, not to overpowering with roast and caramel notes. In my opinion the best beer from the Wädi-Bräu. I would definitely order a second one. Ungstrup (37291) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2011
Bottled. A hazy brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as an odd note of damp hay, leading to a dry hay-like finish. ogivlado (7764) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 16, 2010
swing top bottle (330ml). -Trade with Allen (thanks Julian!). Slight hazy reddish/brown coloured, medium sized off-white head that went away fast, light roasty nose. Moderate roasted malt, vinous coffee and quite watery with notes of raisins and chocolate. Pity for that lack of body, otherwise good dunkel. Marko (5601) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 8, 2010
0.33l fliptop bottle courtesy of ogivlado who got it in a trade with Allen (thanks both!)kappldav123 (6097) - GERMANY - MAY 6, 2010
Poured a quite dark amber-red body with a medium sized white head that went away relatively fast. Sweet, slightly sticky & oily nose with raisins, roastiness and coffee. Not bad. The taste is slightly watery and acidic, sporting nice notes of raisins, toffee, chocolate and roasty cofee. More like a dry stout and not bad at all, but could’ve done better with more body.
Thanks to Allen for this one! The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass not very zippy, small head. Starts very mild, modest malty-roasty, a little bit sweet. Finish shows no new notes, a little bit metallically, still too mild. Not more than average!
