Cask @ JDW, Victoria Station. The pour’s deep amber with a tiny white head. The nose is rich toffee and caramel, sweet malt flavors. Hints of astringent apple cider and tree bark. Soft spun sugar and harvest fruits. The taste is weirdly tangy acidic red apple skin. Mild apple cider vinegar. There’s sweet, soft forest fruits, rich malts. Some cereal grain. Medium body. The flavors are ragged, and not in harmony. Overall, not a great beer. Sorry.

Nov 2012 - draught. OK bitter. Apparently made with elderberry, and there was some fruitiness. Light body. Leighton (22297) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2013
Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear ruby with a fine, white foam head. Toasty malts, some dry orange, leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, more leaves, some toasty malts. A pretty classic British bitter, and not especially exciting. downender (8882) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Copper coloured with a slight white head. Well balanced combination of elderflower cordial, caramel and the Wadworths house yeast, culminating in a decent bitter finish. Good. Finn (8130) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2013
William Morris, Hammersmith 7 Nov 12. Dyp brunrød. Lavt tett skum som varer litt og fester seg til glasset. Beskjeden, litt søt frukt/plommearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt tørr frukt med en syrlig bitter ettersmak.
