Cask: Special for the Wetherspoons Real Ale Festival October 2013.
This powerful beer, brewed again for the first time in over 10 years, exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival, is hopped at three different times during the brewing process, resulting in a fragrant character and full hop flavour, with a hint of biscuit in the finish. Hops used: Fuggles

Pint, local spoons. Clear amber with a good white head, nice lacing. Odd, almost rubbery, nose, but has underlying hoppy character. Nice balanced hop/flavours so kind of redeems itself there! Good pint overall tho!

Oct, 2013. JDW, Rochester. Clean; biscuit and fudge malt with just a bit too much hops for my taste. Not that enjoyable, but at least its drinkable.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, October 2013. Sweet, biscuity malts, slightly floral hops, mercifully no trace of the house yeast character, and a decent, bitter finish. Good.

Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Golden with a bubbly foam. Aromas are mixed berries and autumn leaves with base toffee and biscuit. Toast with woody, light floral notes. Flavours are sweet, dry biscuit with mixed autumn fruit and leafy notes. Hints of mineral with spritzy yeast. I find this kind of beer a bit of a mishmash. Some hints of plastic. Its OK.

Beese (2570) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2013
Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 25 October. Poured an attractive clear copper with a dense white head and good lacing. Aroma was Fuggle hops, with mild sulphurous overtones and a slight metallic edge. Flavour was malty with some toffee and bitter pine needles. Finish was more toffee/ caramel with some straw and stale malt.

Cask at the Kings Highway, Inverness, 18/10/13. Dark amber with a good sized off white head that retains well. Nose is a little thin, biscuit malt, light fruit notes (of the dark variety). Taste comprises corn, cereal, earthy, dark fruit tang, light malt notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, nice feel and in good nick. Looks good, feels good but ultimately boring with little going off in the middle. Blandometer to dark amber ....

The aroma is quite stale and woody, not pleasant at all. The flavour is ok though. Some chocolatey malts and fresh hops.

Bitter taste followed by some cerealy and biscuity tastes, not bad, had better though

berkshirejohn (6280) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 24, 2013
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pale straw with a ring of white head; leafy hoppy aroma; full Fuggles flavour with a dry biscuity body; and a touch of spicy bitterness and warmth to finish. A robust country-style bitter, far better than I was expecting.
