UPDATED: APR 5, 2016 RE-RATE: 500ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours black, thin tan head. Aroma is sulphur, light chilli. Taste is plummy with good chilli presence, some tomato.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2013. Really don’t know why I went for this after previous bad experience with chili beers. This doesn’t exactly sway me, but it’s a lot better than the last I had. Dark malts, slight caramel and a sharp chili tang that hits you as you take a gulp. Couldn’t get much plums. Overall ok, but not my cup of tea.

Bottle. I was a bit aware of trying this one because I don’t like Chili even in small amounts. As you would expect it was rather warm which I didn’t find too disturbing. Quite interesting but I wouldn’t try it again.

Diacetyl and some coffee in the aroma. The taste is similar. Maybe a little chilli in the taste but not much. No plums?! Dissipointing.
