Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a very dark brown hazy beer with red fruit (plum) and milk chocolate flavours, sweetness and roasted notes on the finish. I couldn’t detect any real spicy warmth, but a very nice beer. Lowenbrau (4277) - Asturias, SPAIN - DEC 25, 2014

Pours almost black with nice tan head. Spicy and roasty aromas. Some sour and sweet notes. Nice, hot and spicy aftertaste. Very enjoyable.
Nice rich flavoured beer. 6.1% first impressions you’d think it would strong to the taste and with the Chilli ay little over powering but on the contry i found this beer to be pleasently light on the strength but very heavy & full in flavour. I failed to notice the plum flavor to it however i did get the suttle kick of chilli at the end. Had it more than once as it was very welcoming. Drank this in The Wellington Birmingham. cgarvieuk (24488) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 4, 2013

Cask @ Gravity Station, Cardiff. Brownish indigo with only a small wispy ring of tan head. Chocolate and biscuit on the nose. Taste is intensely warming, sweet and packed with a chili hit. Not so much of the plum but I’m not complaining. Hot, sweet, malty aftertaste. I’m in love!

From a bottle. Pours pretty flat. Opaque. Lovely aroma. Fortunately I do like this style (Porter) and the subtle Chilli is a plus. Great! Grumbo (2946) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2016
Bottle from Gravity Station, Cardiff, and shared at the 3rd Ipswich bottle share. Pours black with a nice looking beige head. Strong aroma of chocolate and plum. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium bodied and oily texture. Soft carbonation. The chilli is a slow burner, quite subtle, works really well with the chocolate. Enjoyed this. [cask at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh] Deep, dark, purplish red beer with a large, off-white head. Aroma is bittersweet, with some stone fruit and a whiff of the black pepper about it. On the taste, some slight flashes of sweet plums, damsons, or other similar fruits, before the chilli bitterness arrives on the finish. Not so much a chilli kick, more a slight prod with the boot. Still, it comes together quite well and is certainly interesting RichTheVillan (7852) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2013
