leaparsons (10696) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 28, 2014
Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Golden brown with an off white foam. Aromas are light biscuit malts with bready notes and hints of chocolate. Earthy autumn fruit with some leafiness. Flavours are dry and nutty black tea (again, today) with toasted malts. Herbal with soft spices and a light fruity bitterness. OK.

Bottle at Craig’s tasting. Fizzy, sugary, sherbet, sweet toffee, a bit too overcarbonated for me.

Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 21, 2013
Sherbet, lemon, caramel and toffee apples on the nose. It pours cloudy and looks like an orange squash. This the best of the beet because in the mouth other than a touch of whisky its quite bland a real pity.

McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 20, 2013
Cloudyish orange with pishy film head and bit more on the rim. Rusty dank nose. Coppery, poorly bittered and dusty finish. No hanksie.

Bottle, Black Friday Tasting

cgarvieuk (25686) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 20, 2013
bottle at home ... copper ... bubbly off white head ... soft roast ... light woody malts ... very fizzy .... light whisky ... soft fruits ...

johndoughty (5521) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2013
Bottle. Slightly cloudy uninviting appearance. Orange with lots of sediment floating around. Some hops are present but it is hard to find a dominating flavour. Dissapointing

Idiosynkrasie (7837) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 29, 2013
500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity aroma has notes of gooseberry, red berries, an earthy grainy touch. Taste is initially slightly grainy, fruity, dry, almost soapy hoppy overtones, in the middle part the lively carbonation enlaces the tongue with neutral prickling; earthy, grainy, rye-like finish.

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 16, 2013
Copper pour with a frothy white head and clinging lace. Tinny malt tangy aroma. Earthy malt flavour. Sweet caramel with hints of whisky.

allmyvinyl (10926) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 15, 2013
Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Cheers Ash! Lovely amber colour, big white head. Bit too big, lots of bubbles, carbonation a bit high. Aromas of dried ginger, apple, caramel. Falls apart after the aroma though, not a lot else going on.

AshtonMcCobb (6844) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 15, 2013
50cl bottle from Vinomondo. Pours a lovely amber colour with a nice generous head. The nose has ginger biscuits. The taste has more ginger biscuits and fresh apples. The palate is close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a dry finish. The carbonation probably makes it more full of body than you’d expect from the alcohol. The ginger is a little dominant but it’s good.
