Tap @ Cafe Derat. Hazy orange colour, off-white head. Nose is caramel malts, bit of fruits, light sour, a bit spicy and yeasty. Flavour of caramel malts, subdued hoppiness, a bit sugary. Wouldn’t have guessed this to be a doppelbock. gunnfryd (14872) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 1, 2013

Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2013. Cloudy amber body with a small white head. Perfume, malt, alcohol. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2013
Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2013. Pours unclear ruby amber with a small creamy head. Marmelade, dirty yeast and phenolic rubber. Thin. Christos (5743) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - SEP 7, 2013
Bottle, 750 ml, poured into a snifter at home. ABV 7.3%
Very dark orange to light amber in colour, with a small white head on top. Low retention, light lacing on the glass. Low activity in there.
Aroma of malts, weeds, boiled vegetables, a bit medicinal with obvious alcohol smell.
Taste is better, again lots of malts, grass, sugar, alcohol, but there is a slighty fruity aftertaste. Not so good though, brings to mind cheap strong beers from the supermarket, guaranteed to give you a headache. Also it’s more of a heller bock to me than a dupperbock.
Medium thin body, okay carbonation.
Slighty disappointed by this one. Svesse (8597) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 3, 2013
(Draught at Kafé Belgie, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly spicy nose with notes of orange, dried fruit and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, apricots, orange peel, a slight caramel sweetness and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet. Tasty and well balanced. nice one.
