12oz bottle. I worked for Wagner’s for two years. During my 2 years, I spent much time at the fabled "House," where general cacophony occurred nightly. Upon exploring the basement of The House, a few coworkers and myself discovered several bottles of beer, aged nearly 5 years. These bottles, and The House, had belonged to the owner of Wanger’s- legendary Bill Wagner. We drank these beers like little regard for history, and soon regretted it. Growler. Dark brown, near black with a small ring of brown head. Smells of bitter coffee roast (and lots of it), some sourness, and chocolate.

Sample from a bottle. Fresh, sharp vegetal espresso nose, really bright coffee in the aroma, and very rich smelling as well. Lightly pasty/empty texture, medium-to-light frothiness. Coffee flavors prevalent, with some light roast, if any, or maybe more of a burnt dark roasted coffee flavor, and I’m just thinking roast. The coffee is quite delicious – I love coffee stout – but it covers pretty much the entire ‘porter’ in this porter. on tap. first coffee porter i’ve ever had. dark black color with a nice head. strong coffee aroma. nice feel and a strong after taste of the coffee. loved how the chocolate came thru as it warmed but the coffee was still in the forefront. brought a growler home.
