12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a thin-moderate off-white head that lasted through the first two sips and left no lace. Mild aroma of malt and not much else. The flavor is weak malt that is both bready and a bit grainy. Flat would be the best way to describe the flavor. There is some very minor hops at the finish. I would not call this a bad beer, but I would say that it is dull. jb (3275) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 26, 2006
Cola - colored with a thick tan head. The thick head also had very nice retention. Malty aroma, caramel and raisins in the palate. This is a smooth creamy palate. A very nice vienna. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 29, 2006
Thin, unpronounced aroma, with little but a touch of malt. Flavor had a nice rich chocolatiness as it warmed, but was otherwise pretty minimal. Easy drinker, nothing special. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUL 5, 2007
12oz bottle. Pours a radiant, cola-brown color with the slightest reddish tinge; light tan head with patchy lacing. Toasty malts and caramel in the aroma; a hint of citrus. This tastes wonderful: medium-to-full mouthfeel, showing plenty of cola and a creamy nuttiness; lively carbonation, with a touch of citrus and a near-perfect mouthfeel; terribly drinkable, flavorful Vienna (probably my favorite of the few I’ve had). Medium, toasted malt and nutty finish. I could drink this all day. PhillyBeer2112 (2865) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2002
GABF 2002: Dark amber color. Intense floral hop aroma, sweet up front and a bitter finish, with no hop flavors.

This is the ONE beer that this brewery does right, and boy have they gotten it right! It’s remarkably subtle in its combination of Hallertau/Tettnang with the delicious Vienna malts. No wonder they won an award. Fairly sweet with buttery malts, it’s as smooth as a baby’s bottom. Their other beers sure do suck though. This one-hit-wonder brewery has the one-hit thing in common with A Flock Of Seagulls, who I will be seeing in concert in two weeks. Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - SEP 6, 2000
Great malt and hop floral nose. Good head and lace, an all round good beer. BrewBoxer (2650) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Draft at the guilty goose. Deep amber color. Reddish. Malty sticky flavor. No head. Eh jimhilt (2611) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 10, 2005
Explodes out of bottle with a 5+ finger light brown head but fades quickly leaving only traces of lace. Murky brown/amber with a ton of chunky bits, ugliest beer I’ve seen in a while. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is raisin and yeast. Starts with sweet raisin & plum, there is a hint of yeast in the background, finishes smooth and is actually very drinkable. $1.00 for a 12 oz bottle from Hoosick Street Discount Bev. Troy, NY. piscator34 (2541) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 6, 2005
Decidedly brown in colour with a medium amount of carbonation. It’s got a nutty / malty aroma with little hop influance. The caramel malt is the dominant flavor, along with some vienna and munich malts and some clean bitterness. It’s fairly average stuff. Thanks Lubiere.
