BCA from Bitter Virtue. Dark ruby, Chocolatey and liquoricey malts. Slightly smokey mild sweetness and hints of woody hops. Q. Drinkable.
Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Deep brownt to black with ruby hue and beige head. Quite a thinnish beer on the palate with a weak coffee note, cold dregs. Chocolate malts, grainy, some sweetness, light, could do with a little more body. undsioux7 (872) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Pours a dark brown with very small tan head that is gone quickly. Very faint aroma and tastes of roasted malt and light fruits and a touch of vanilla. Not much there but not bad either. Gary (2094) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2011
(Bottled) A coffee porter according to my bottle , its not mentioned on the database ; I could happily drink this for breakfast . nose is coffee roast and floral hops. subtle beige head ,you know what porter looks like ; coffee accented palate , but not relentless in expression. Nice. Bullit (4825) - Buffalo, New York, USA - OCT 18, 2010
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark brown colour, some off-white bubbles. Aroma is light roasted malts and sweet vanilla. Flavour is light roasted malts, bit of chocolate, vanilla, little fruitiness. Light bodied. A bit disappointing. Alphadelic (2249) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 17, 2010
Weirdly bubble and it looks like a coke. The nose is a very subtle cherry fruit aroma with plenty of maltiness. In the mouth smooth malt and fresh cherry fruit take hold giving a big sweetness with a light burnt bitterness in the finish. It is gluggably thin. Far from what I imagined but...pleasant.

[bottle @ RBESG 2009, Grand Tasting]
Toasty nuts and sherry-like nutty aroma. Almost clear dark chestnut under wisps and ring. Smokey coffee flavour that has a coffee bitterness and roasted barley vanilla, though a little thin. Light body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter finish. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2009

Some hop aroma. Amber mid brown coloured and malty with a little bitterness and dryness in an earthy finish. harrisoni (19556) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 18, 2009
Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Chestnut colour with thin beige head. Some choc, coffee on aroma. Some burntness on finish, bit watery on the malts if truth be told.
