StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2015
A black coloured beer with reddish-brown tints and a frothy but weak mocha coloured head. I light roasted malt aroma, nutty, burnt sugar and loads of ripe red berry fruit, plus a background hint of smoke. Dry mouthfeel. A big roasted malt flavour, dry nutty, dark bread, burnt sugar and fruity, then a smoky, woody taste comes through towards the end. The finish is long, lingering, and malty. Bottle from Beers of Europe.
