Bottled at RBESG. Very dark brown. Coffee aroma. Dry and solidly malty. Heavily rosaty with light body and a föavour of rain on hot dusty asphalt. Salty finish. cgarvieuk (24156) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 19, 2008
Bottle at home ... Thanks to FIn for pointing me at this one ... Deep solid black with short lived head ... roast coffee with hint of tobacco ... Ohh bitter roast coffee malts ... bit too bitter for me ... Very solid stout ... behind the bitterness is lots of smooth roast malts ... good body ... and a simple but rounded stout. harrisoni (18402) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2008
500ml bottle, big thanks to Fin and Loz for this one as I’ve been after it for some time. Black colour with very dark brown edges and a thin beige head. Attractive charcoal choc, grainy aroma. Little bit of liquorice. Fine, bit watery in mouth. Decent stout. No bad or poor flavours. Decent choccy stout. I suppose I was expecting a bit more from it from the previous reviews. I have 2 more bottles at home to take to RBESG in Plzen, so will try it again then. TBone (17429) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 20, 2008

Black almost pitch black, some off-white head. Strong chocolaty, coffeish aroma. A bit watery, but nicely balanced, coffeish and roasted flavor. Roasted aftertaste. Very good light stout.
500ml bottle - gift from Fin - thanks!
Shared with our host in Copenhagen, a closet beer nerd who really appreciated the chance to taste some English ales, so thanks from him as well!
Black, beige head. Burnt stout aroma. Drying bitterness in the mouth, but also quite refreshing. Burntness dominates the finish.
