Bottle 500ml. @ [ Chris O’s pre NYE Tasting ].
[ Vintage 2007 ]. Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is sour sweet pear. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081230]

Ungstrup (37862) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2012
Bottled. A light yellow perry. The aroma has notes of soap and pears. The flavor is sweet with notes of rotten pears, leading to a dry finish.

joergen (28387) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2012
Bottle at yespr. Clear pale yellow coloured with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma of pears and sulphur. Fruity flavour of pears with acidic notes. Tart finish.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2012
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Vintage 2010. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. Very odd artificial aroma. Medium body, a little sweetness and then these odd fruity accents that don’t appear like anything else really - and certainly not pears. Chemical finish. 230212

Leighton (21477) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 24, 2010
Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a few bubbles. Slightly dank, funky aroma with plenty of pears. Very sweet, with some dirty mustiness and strong booze notes. Light to medium in body with fine, fizzy carbonation and some warmth. Finish is quite sweet, lightly dry and dank. Not bad overall.

harrisoni (18807) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2006
500ml bottle from Waitrose. Silver, gold colour with no head, but quite carbonated. Delicate pear aroma. Sweetish pear in mouth, or is that the alcohol? Some woodiness on aroma and end from the oak casks I guess. It is quite sweet. Pear juice flavour is nice but a bit too carbonated and a bit too sweet.

saxo (18738) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2012
Bottle @ yespr tasting. No head. Color is water. Aroma and taste are perries, sugar and wood. Medium body and medium carbonation.

500ml bottle (Waitrose, Harpenden)
Simple almost appley estery aroma, nice woody dryness. Not too pale, almost healthy for a perry. Sweet but not sticky, crisp, but not fizzy. Yet again, the fruit is as many apple skins as pear flesh, nice tartness, oaky dryness. Grabbed this bottle from the fridge thinking I read a lower ABV than it actually had, and the drinking of it did nothing to make me reconsider that. Solid one, again, but I’d appreciate more balls.

bhensonb (15338) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 25, 2015
Bottle from the Waitrose on Gloucester Road. 2014 Vintage. Pours light perry color. Aroma is very, very light pear. Med minus body. Flavor seems more apple skin than pear. It’s quite bland. It is drinkable.
