Clear light yellow color with no head. Taste is bitter pear with some sweetness. Doesnt seem so strong.

bartlebier (3946) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 28, 2017
500ml Waitrose in UK transit, bbSEP2018. Tame, easydrinking pear/apple lemonade that could just as well be a cider as a perry - slightly sulphurous apple skins in aroma, Apfelmus and watery pockets all around for instant sessionability. Rather tame when "peared" (höhö) with a poire Belle Hélène and stilton, especially for a 8% drink.

500ml bottle (Waitrose, Harpenden)
Simple almost appley estery aroma, nice woody dryness. Not too pale, almost healthy for a perry. Sweet but not sticky, crisp, but not fizzy. Yet again, the fruit is as many apple skins as pear flesh, nice tartness, oaky dryness. Grabbed this bottle from the fridge thinking I read a lower ABV than it actually had, and the drinking of it did nothing to make me reconsider that. Solid one, again, but I’d appreciate more balls.

Bottle from Waitrose. Very pale straw colour. Not much aroma. The taste is light, fruity pear with a touch of vinegar. Easy drinking and inoffensive, but bland.

Bottle from the Waitrose on Gloucester Road. 2014 Vintage. Pours light perry color. Aroma is very, very light pear. Med minus body. Flavor seems more apple skin than pear. It’s quite bland. It is drinkable.

50cl bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell. 2014 Vintage A pale colour with light carbonation; soft pear aroma with a trace of honey; the taste is a blend of apples and pears; and the finish is smooth and dry. An easy drinking perry.

minutemat (5396) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2015
500ml bottle from Tesco. Pours clear gold with a dusty fruit orchard aroma. Ripened apple and perry pear taste. On the sweet side but quite clean and balanced. Not too much going on really but still rather pleasant and strong-tasting to have on a summery evening in the park.

allmyvinyl (10486) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 10, 2015
500ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours clear pale yellow gold, no head. Aromas of apples and pears. Taste is sweet at first, drying out at the end. Pear skin lingers. Hides the strength well.

Bottle from Waitrose shared with McTapps. A nice cider with a sweet taste and only a touch of perry in the aroma. Easily drinkable with some apples and lemons in the background. Nothing special but balanced carbo.

Bought at local Waitrose in East Cowes. Pours out in a light golden colour with medium to smooth body. Aroma of mild pears and caramel. Taste of mild, ripe pears, mild apples, leaves, caramel and mild juice. Smooth to drink, not a bad one.
