Bottle, 500ml. A pale straw colour, no carbonation. A light pear aroma. Plenty of pear in the flavour with some hints of spice, Id say medium-sweet. Very refreshing and drinkable, with a slight warming quality to it. Personally I like my perry offensively strong, both in flavour and alcohol content, with a good kick of sourness, which this doesnt deliver. But this is an easy-drinking perry intended to appeal to the mass market, which it does well and Id certainly buy it again. Was surprised to see that it was 8% actually, as it doesnt strike me as being that strong.

Bottle from Waitrose. Very pale straw colour. Not much aroma. The taste is light, fruity pear with a touch of vinegar. Easy drinking and inoffensive, but bland.

50cl bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell. 2014 Vintage A pale colour with light carbonation; soft pear aroma with a trace of honey; the taste is a blend of apples and pears; and the finish is smooth and dry. An easy drinking perry.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Pours clear gold with a dusty fruit orchard aroma. Ripened apple and perry pear taste. On the sweet side but quite clean and balanced. Not too much going on really but still rather pleasant and strong-tasting to have on a summery evening in the park.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Pours clear pale yellow gold, no head. Aromas of apples and pears. Taste is sweet at first, drying out at the end. Pear skin lingers. Hides the strength well.

Bottle from Waitrose shared with McTapps. A nice cider with a sweet taste and only a touch of perry in the aroma. Easily drinkable with some apples and lemons in the background. Nothing special but balanced carbo.

Bought at local Waitrose in East Cowes. Pours out in a light golden colour with medium to smooth body. Aroma of mild pears and caramel. Taste of mild, ripe pears, mild apples, leaves, caramel and mild juice. Smooth to drink, not a bad one.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 Appearance: Clear golden/straw/green with bubbly white head on the pour. Aroma: Pear, musty, earthy, floral, note of barnyard, vanilla, woody, buttery and spicy. Taste: Medium acidity and tannin, low/medium sweetness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, medium body, average carbonation, lingering pear, vanilla, caramel/toffee finish. Comments: Delicious. The most assertive Perry I have had to date. 2011 Vintage. 2013 Vintage: Same as above but prickly carbonation, no vanilla, no barnyard in the aroma or finish. More of a pear, buttery caramel aroma and palate with a dry, lingering pear, white wine and caramel like finish. Again a very good Perry.

Drinkable perry, but I would expect a more interesting and complex flavour for its 8abv .
